Normal Blood Sugar 30 Minutes After Eating

So diabetes is a widespread problem today. We see that almost 14% or 15% of people have diabetes. So every very often, we have this question what is the average blood glucose/sugar level?

Because apart from diabetes, we also have a condition called pre-diabetes. There is a high risk of developing diabetes, but that is not there. So what is the average blood glucose/sugar level is?

Suppose you look at the fasting blood sugar level. Suppose you give the blood sample in the fasting stage. And if the fasting glucose/sugar level is less than a hundred, it is normal. If it is between 100 to 125, then what is called pre-diabetes.

And above 126 your dial, you have diabetes. Similarly, if you look at the postprandial, that is or two hours after a meal, if you give a blood sample. And if the blood sugar value is less than 140. it is normal. If it is more than 200, then the person can you can say that the person has diabetes.

And between 140 to 200 is pre-diabetes. So these people who have pre-diabetes, have levels that are slightly higher than average. But they don’t have as high standards as diabetes, and these people have a high risk of developing damage.

So if anybody has this pre-diabetes, then we should try to see that they prevent. They do not develop diabetes, and we can prevent diabetes in this situation.

We can also use the hba1c level to diagnose diabetes. And anybody who has a blood sugar level of me on a sea level of more than 6.5 can be said to have diabetes.

Now another important thing is that we should always do these tests on more than one occasion. We can’t just rely on one test and say that a person has got diabetes.

We should do it more than once and then see whether the consistently it is in that range. I hope you understand what is the normal blood sugar 30 minutes after eating.

Why Blood Sugar Is High In The Morning?

Why my blood sugar is high in the morning? I get this question all the time. So something I said typically the best blood Sugar’s is in the morning. And some people said oh no, my blood sugar goes up during the day of my budget goes down during the day.

I’m sorry, so they say my blood sugar is higher in the morning than the later time of the day. Well, that is true for some people again that depends on what is going on with your body?

I said this because, most of the time, people go on medications like metformin. And they end up with the blood sugar being in the morning.

Because those medications work at night, and they don’t eat anything during the day. But here’s the thing you know when you start your day you start eating. Typically you expect your blood sugar to go higher.

Now why blood sugars are high in the morning? Sometimes more upper than the night before. Again that depends on what you’re taking during the day. If you’re taking, for example, at glipizide, that is commonly prescribed medication, not my favourite.

But it’s commonly prescribed, and that medication works for a while. And then it wears off, and then this medication makes your body make insulin.

So glipizide produces insulin, and that helps with your meals. But then it wears off, and then at night, your body still needs insulin. So insulin is not just necessary for the food. Your body needs insulin anyways.

So even if you’re eating no carbs, you still need insulin because your liver will make glucose. You have to have glucose in your system. So yes, you don’t need carbs good for you.

How To Measure Blood Sugar

In healthy people, the measurement of blood glucose usually includes in any blood or urine test. Especially when it comes to obese people, over 50 years of age, or in those who have been diagnosed with high blood pressure or hypercholesterolemia.

In both cases, blood and urine samples should obtain on an empty stomach.

In the case of people already diagnosed with diabetes, they should proceed every morning when they get up.

And before breakfast to measure their blood glucose levels. To do this, they must use a glucometer, which is a device that introduces a test strip impregnated with a drop of blood that is obtained by a small prick on a finger.

This provides the result in just a few seconds. Other tests, such as oral glucose tolerance or glycated haemoglobin, are reserved for specific cases, such as uncontrolled diabetic patients or pregnant women at risk of developing gestational diabetes.

How Often Need To Check Blood Sugar

This is a common question of how often to check blood sugar. People ask how many times should I check? Because it hurts, especially if you’re doing finger sticks that sucks.

Suppose you have a CGM like a Dexcom d6 freestyle labret whatever great. But even then you sometimes have to do finger checks, and most of the time people don’t understand when to do finger checks.

If they are using a regular meter, then it is another story that you have to understand how many times because you don’t want to check too many times.

So basically we are going to start with the most natural patient. So a primary patient who just got diagnosed with diabetes, they’re super nervous. They’re checking their blood sugar seven-eight times a day well initially. That may be exciting, and you know if you’re worked up you want to get this under control.

How Often Need To Check Blood Sugar

But eventually, you are going to burn out. So there is a more natural way to do this than just doing seven-eight times a day. Now if you want to, you know still have an understanding of where your blood Sugar’s are without doing eight times a day do the scattered map.

So scatter your blood sugar checks but make sure that it’s organized. Your doctor and yourself can look at it and have an understanding now. For example, if you want to check your blood sugar twice a day, this is how you can organize.

You can do one-day first thing in the morning at fasting, which is essential. And then the second blood sugar check could be an hour or two after breakfast.

But make sure you’re consistent. If you want to do 30 minutes after breakfast, keep doing that 30 minutes after meals. If you’re going to do after lunch or after dinner, and keep it make sure that it’s 30 minutes after.

Because if you’re doing 30 minutes one day and in one hour one day then it becomes confusing. So let’s say one day you do it for breakfast on Monday on Tuesday you can do a blood sugar check before lunch and after lunch one hour after Wednesday.

How Many Calories Need As A Diabetic Patients?

Before we jump into the details, I want to explain to you what is diabetes. If you’re a new diabetic most of the time, people do not understand why they developed diabetes.

Of course, genetic factors contribute to it. But the bottom line especially for type 2 diabetics. So what happens is in time our body become insulin resistance. So insulin is the hormone that allows your body to utilize the glucose, which is a primary energy source.

If your body is not able to get that glucose within the cells, then you’re not going to feel good. Your blood sugars will stay high. It’s like you have a million dollars locked in the bank, but you cannot pull your miserable money.

How Many Calories Need As A Diabetic Patients

Most of the time, that’s how patients with type 2 diabetes feel they are tired, and they keep gaining weight. So how do we lose weight then?

I’m going to give you a quick formula in terms of how much calories you should eat. Of course, counting calories and carbs are going to be extremely useful. But if you don’t know what your current counting to then that’s not going to help you write?

You can count your calories. But if you’re counting your 5,000 calories every day, of course, there’s too much everybody would know that. If you don’t know your personal goal, then you will never achieve the weight-loss goals, which will improve your a1c your blood pressure and your cholesterol.

Now how do you determine how much you should eat to lose weight? So first, you decide what your basal calorie needs are. If you are 200 pounds, that means you are muscular and fit.

You’re going to need around 15 times 200 that is approximately 3,000 calories. If you’re a woman, then you’re probably overactive woman I would say an active woman. And sedentary men will need 13 calories per pound.

What Is Low Blood Sugar Level?

How do you feel when you have low blood sugar? A lot of people do not know how do they think. Sometimes you may feel dizzy and irritable. And you may not even know why you believe that. You may think that your personality is changing. But it could be your low blood sugar.

Let’s review the symptoms of hyperglycemia which is low blood sugar. It is divided into two number. One is adrenergic symptoms. Why do we call this adrenergic symptom? Because it comes from your adrenal gland, it is adrenaline induced.

When you have low blood sugar, your body gives a panic reaction. And it releases adrenaline response. It’s the same reaction when you see a lion in the middle of a forest. What do you feel like your heart is going to a race, you’re going to start shaking.

And then next thing you know you hit to run right. You need to get pumped up for the energy to run now. Your body does not differentiate between this fear response or hypoglycemia response.

It is a panic response. So when your blood sugars are going low, your adrenaline goes up. And that gives you excessive sweating. You may feel hot, and you may feel shaky, your heart may race. And all these symptoms are we call them are generic symptoms.

So it may be subtle as well if your blood sugars are not down to 30. But let’s say you are down to 70. You may feel like oh I cannot feel hot, hey do you feel warm?

Your blood Sugar’s right and then suddenly you may feel like you know? What’s going on, I’m sweaty you know kind of irritable. You may want to check your blood sugar at that time.

So don’t wait, don’t think twice check your blood sugar.

An essential source of energy is blood sugar or glucose. Blood sugar nourishes the nervous system, muscles, and organs of your body. When you eat a meal, the body produces and absorbs glucose from the food you eat.
